About me
Who is Emily Gant?
Emily Gant is an American immigrant in Berlin who explains German politics, bureaucracy and immigrant life through her project, The Not My Job Pod. By day, she's a Senior Growth Lead at Graphite. She has lived in seven countries across four continents.
Originally from Atlanta. Every country I've lived in changed how I saw the next one, and Germany is no exception.
Off-camera: good food, techno and house, coffee, cocktails, group fitness, and people who ask smart questions.
Where I stand
I'd rather you know where I'm coming from than guess.
- Closest to democratic socialism. I prefer policies to parties.
- I've supported political events, content and mobilisation with Die Linke, Die Grünen and Volt.
- I platform people who interest me. That doesn't always mean I endorse them, or even agree with them.
We won't see everything the same way, and that's fine.
By day
By day, I help tech companies grow.
I'm a Senior Growth Lead at Graphite, a research-driven growth agency, where I help some of the best-known names in tech find the few strategies that actually move revenue.
Before that, I drove organic growth for multinational consumer brands and a leading US health system, scaled a Series B startup all the way to acquisition by a global tech research giant, and doubled account sign-ups at a Series C entertainment startup.
